Please contact me if you cannot find an answer to your question.
My coaching philosophy is centered around the belief that each individual has the power to create their success. I work with clients to help them identify their strengths and passions, and then co-develop a plan to achieve their goals. I believe in a collaborative approach, where the client and coach work together as partners to create positive, sustainable change.
If a client is feeling stuck, I work with them to identify what underlying beliefs and thoughts are holding them back. This may involve exploring their values, interests, and mental models, as well as any external factors that may be impacting them. From there, we co-develop a plan to address these issues and move toward a more fulfilling future.
I practice as an independent coach because I think that for a coaching engagement to be successful, a client’s commitment is critical, which is demonstrated through a client’s decision to hire a coach. I believe that sustainable change requires intrinsic motivation. The commitment to hire a coach requires, not only a financial investment but also time and effort to do the work of unlearning and relearning needed for growth. I also want to provide an objective perspective for you and not be biased toward an organization’s culture, mental models, and/or relationships with other employees.
My niche audiences would include
a) caregivers navigating a return to work;
b) high-performing, rising professionals who have mastered their technical skills as individual contributors and want to level up into leadership roles as they rise into management;
c) one that I would like to explore: school principals navigating the ever-changing education landscape.
I work with clients who are ready, intrinsically motivated, and committed to change with the goal of something bigger, better, and healthier so that they can live a life in alignment with their hopes, desires, and goals. These clients have a successful track record, but what worked in the past is no longer serving them. They are unsure about how to move forward in the liminal space of change - the ambiguity is stressful and unexplored. I will be your partner through that journey.
Coaching and therapy share some similarities, and yet, are different. Emotions and feelings are taken into account with both. In coaching, we explore the "how" and "what" of the actions you will take to make a change with a focus on the present and future. We take a proactive approach to building your well-being and mental fitness. In therapy, there is a medical diagnosis due to an ongoing mental health condition, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, with a focus on "why" so that one can heal from the past.
As your coach, I will facilitate your growth from within through reflective, thought-provoking questions. I am agnostic toward your industry and work experience. I will not advise you on what to do, rather, I will guide you toward identifying choices so that you can make the best decision for you. On the other hand, a mentor has subject matter expertise and will openly share their experiences with you and provide you advice.
